On Saturday, May 4, 2013, the Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique opened its doors to the public, within the context of the Passport DC Cultural Tourism Open House. The Embassy joined other Embassies in what can be considered smart diplomacy.

More than 2,400 people visited the Embassy thus allowing us to call it a very successful event.

HE Amelia Narciso Matos Sumbana, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mozambique to the United States, and staff provided to the visitors an insight of Mozambique's history, culture, people, resources, resorts, potentialities, to quote but few.

There is a consensus that this will continue next year and we count on those who visited to disseminate the information about the country and invite them to be here next year.
